CBD VS. Marijuana

Cannabidiol (also known as our good ol’ friend, CBD) is gaining lots of attention around the world due to its many benefits like the ability to naturally promote a healthy response for various body types. With that attraction comes an onslaught of questions such as; Is CBD weed? Will CBD get you high? What’s the difference between CBD and weed?

Your friendly neighbors at Our Remedies are here to answer your questions!

With the CBD phenomenon exploding just about everywhere, including gas stations (yikes – more on that later), we’d like to keep you as informed as possible when it comes to purchasing and using CBD products for your personal needs.

No, CBD does not get you high.

First and foremost, CBD is not marijuana.

No, it will not get you high, or stoned, or blazed, bruh. Even though CBD and marijuana do come from the same family! To break it down simply, CBD is a chemical compound found in Cannabis and Hemp plants that is believed to be non-psychoactive (doesn’t get you high). CBD is not and does not contain THC (the compound in marijuana that is famous for getting people high). These two compounds are like siblings, with a couple of similarities, but super different personalities. While the two compounds work best together, it is possible to get great benefits from using CBD without any THC – especially if you are someone who cannot ingest THC under any circumstances.

So ultimately, no, CBD does not get you high, and you will not get the psychoactive effects that THC will give you, but it does cause significant changes in your body – particularly your endocannabinoid system (ECS). Think of CBD as a supplement. Some have even found CBD to be a viable alternative to current modern medicines, some that have extreme side effects including death. The cool thing about CBD is that it’s derived from a plant. It’s completely natural, hatched from Mother Nature herself, which gibes CBD the potential to be safer for you to take compared to conventional medicines.
